The state of modern football

Its not without thought that I post this..

but recently I have become increasingly disillusioned with modern football.

A lot of the players are utter tools, Suarez, Terry, Rio/Anton Ferdinand, Barton etc... They are so out of touch with reality, and the genuine fan.

With all the stuff recently with the media going beserk about a flaming handshake, and Crappello and the England Job, the whole thing feels like one big circus.

I'm left with the impression that most of the players dont give a **** about their club and its all about the money. Especially when you see players going to rubbish teams in the US, Quatar, Saudi Arabia and Russia etc etc

I find myself wondering how a moron like Tevez or a fool like John Terry can be "worth" over £100k PER WEEK.

Its not like Terry is even that good for god sake. Hes hardly Lionel Messi.

The other thing that annoys me is the sheer amount of play acting, diving, and cheating etc.. Its really making the game difficult to watch for me now.

I dont get excited by any Barclays Premiership games any more, and find myself sticking to mainly champions league games, but as far as the premiership is concerned, I'm starting to not even be bothered about missing MOTD, or even checking the scores...

Perhaps me getting older is putting things into perspective and I am starting to see football for what it really is...

Has anyone else had any similar feelings about the modern game?
