The best ones are Norton Fish Bar and Chippylicous - both run by same people. I used to go to Sammy Lowes but itss gone downhill (no pun intended) so I went to Norton Fish bar and never looked anywhere else; I suggest you give it a shot.

Others - Spice Exchange or India Cottage for Indian

Didn't Sammy used to own the corner shop across the road on the same side? FordGreen Stores (Sparrow Street).

No offence, but Stoke Town is like Monte Carlo coming from Crewe!

Well, I've been in the new place for about a fortnight now... and VM have finally got around to hooking the cable modem up.

I have to say that people are a lot more friendly around here. - They actually say "hello" and "good morning" when you pass them on the street (which I didn't get walking through Stoke either).
I'd say it's only like Monte Carlo in that Harpfields road seems to be part of some kind of street circuit.

I've learnt that I'm in a "Sutton" home rather than a "Tin" one, but I have no idea what that means.

anyone used adderly green garage? need an MOT and been recommended it. Any others thats worth going too in longton?
Also, wheres best place for some cheap part used tyres I'll be needing some too for the mot -.-

I'd recommend either the place in Longton with a plane on it (I forget the name), or further afield go fo Harris Motors in Elder Road - my wifes family have used them for at least 30 odd yrs without issue.

I used to use Motor Clinic in Longton - never had any complaints about the work

Just have to say this thread has helped so much with me and my partner moving into stoke. a lot of useful and random info so thanks everyone. Been a great help! I just hope I can put back in from what I've gained.
