Thanks. So does dmpoole wanna jam? :p

the studio was built for band rehearsel/professional recordings and musical work, music is a passion of mine hence so much time and effort going into the place. have a meeting tomorrow with an owner of the land to see if we can expand it even further.

Doesn't the bare concrete blocks create havoc with the sound ?

you'd have thought so but it really doesnt. as i say theres a tiny bit of echo there. but the walls are having acoustic foam attached soon.

You need more carpet, and put some rugs on the walls or something. :)

give me chance, still work in progress ;)

were still no way near done that room is for rehearsels not professional recording. the actual recording room is dead. as its insulated big time.

Hi mate where abouts in Doncaster is that?

How did you get it sorted? Just ask around for spare buildings etc?

its near wheatley hall road. we just looked around for ages til we found the right price. no offense i would rather not give exact locations due the amount of money that is in there.

What will you be using for recording?

I'm thinking of buying this for my band - Phonic Helix Board 18 FireWire so that I can get 16 tracks straight into a PC running SONAR.

we are talking about using sonar, with a 24 channel input straight into the pc similar to what your deciding on were just not entirely sure yet.

just checked on the Phonics im not the best with sound recording. but it does look the business mate im gonna have a read on it.

2 mins from my place then. No worries, I understand about the location etc. Did you buy the place outright or are you renting weekly etc? How are you sorting security - I would love to do something like this, more DJ related though.

Cheers.

It has a high quality Shutter door on it. double plated doors around the back, with steel bar secured into the wall to stop people kicking it down.

put it this way it takes me like 20mins to get into the damn place! cctv is also fitted. and alarm system.

and we pay weekly.

I know you may not want to say publicly but can I ask how much, please? We pay ~£50/week for a 3hr slot in a room here in Basingstoke, it's a decent room but it's a little galling paying that much for what we get. I've considered trying to do it off my own back, not sure of prices etc tho.

Mail is marc a.t. riddlermarc.co.uk if you don't want to say online :)
