Hey guys, finally got my system up and running after a bit of a problem with my Bad Axe 2 bios.

Here are the modules in all of their glory:

I have these running with the following spec:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
Intel Bad Axe 2
Team Xtreem PC6400 4-4-4-10
2 x 36Gb Western Digital Raptors
nVidia GeForce 7800GTX
Enermax 485W NoiseTaker

Round 1 - The first overclock

To start with I loosened the memory timings and put it on a divider, booting the cpu with stock volts at 333fsb. At the moment the memory voltage is 1.8v.

Then I retightened the timings to 4-4-4-11 (accidentally put 11 instead of 10 I realised) and upped the fsb to 375mhz, and the memory voltage to 2.2v. I am at this point running on a 4:5 divider on the memory.

Here is how it stands at the moment.

The next overclock will be coming shortly.

Round 2

A very mild increase on the cpu voltage now to get to this speed, but memory remains the same, and reduced now to Tras 10 :)

Cooling on air at the moment, just a bit stuck on 3.55Ghz so upped the memory voltage by 0.04v and it seems happy again. CPU voltage is 1.35v.

Right, I have no doubt that this memory can go much further but I can't seem to get much further than 3.55Ghz without putting more juice through the CPU and I can't do that because the temps are getting a bit scary

I might need to reseat the processor as it was hitting 60 at 3.55Ghz, how right does that sound?

The memory went without a complaint up to 495mhz, so as much as I can gather this is a cracking set with a lot more headroom in it.

For the moment I have scaled back to 3.4Ghz, but I am going to see if I can tighten the timings a bit.

can the badaxe2 not lower the cpu multi
then you could push ram further?
No, which I am a bit disappointed about really. A lot of places say that the 975 chipset does this, but obviously Intel have decided not to do this in the BOIS.

I will have a go later on at pushing past 3.55Ghz, and i'm going to reseat my Zalman Flower, as the temps are a bit too warm for me.

At the moment the memory is sitting at 4-4-4-8 on 2.2v at 485mhz, not bad. I need to have another play though :D

I've reseated my CPU now which has knocked 5 degrees off the stock, so it's 45 deg c when idle (3.45Ghz). Seems quite happy running at that speed. Will put some more voltage through the CPU at some point now that the temps are a bit better, see how far I can push this memory.

Running 4-4-4-6 atm, seems very happy, spent the last hour through sp2004 no problems.

Drop the CPU multi to 6 and see how far it goes. Apparently RAM clocks better 1:1 than 4:5 too, but you'd probably end up being board limited then.
