Just bought a double pack of The Thin Red Line and Tigerland as I have been in a war movie mood for the last couple of weeks.
I read a few reviews on The Thin Red Line which said it was great etc with a few flaws so I sat down to watch it this evening. My god, I have to admit I was so bored throughout most of it that I was hoping for it to finish (164 mins so the hoping didn't come through). I have to admit, a few friends had told me it was great etc but I really couldn't get into it, I wasn't going in expecting SPR's action etc but I really just found a lot of things in this movie going knowhere. I definately don't think it was an awful movie, there was some good acting, a lot of beautiful scenery but I just felt the story was going knowhere.
Tigerland on the other hand I found very enjoyable, great film shot in a documentary style way which I recommend people see.
Anyone else got any opinions on this movie?
