Nice, but typical asus tax. RRP $900usd. Pretty pointless ask that price if you ask me, may as well just get the 6900xt
I 100% agree, ASUS tax is genrally not worth it IMO.

I'm going to aim for the sapphire no frills 6800XT if the price is anywhere near MRSP

Upgraded to Zen2 (3700x) earlier on this year and not intending to jump to Zen3 for a while, hoping there’s some reviews that look at the perf of these cards in that. Do need to upgrade as can’t push enough FPS on my new monitor.

If you want Direct access memory, yes you need a series 5 mobo and cpu.
This is why we need 3rd party reviews.

Always been the case with higher end AIB models of lower tier cards though hasn't it... I have always found it weird that people spend so close to the base price of the next tier card to have a premium custom AIB model, when even the reference cards of the next tier up would often significantly outperform it.

What i took from that slide was, AMD were saying, we need a card, plus a CPU, motherboard etc... now, just to compete, and beat Nvidias cards. :p

New CPU's are out on the 5'th, there will be a review of those by then, you would think AMD would want the new GPU's in those reviews.
Hopefully. Looking forward to them :)

Will be building a family member a PC from the ground up including monitor in a few months and more than likely I will be going with 5900X and 6800X for him.

Good man Mossy. But that means your gonna have to skip the 6000 series..?

Yep, 5700XT should be fine for another year of use, next year will be the 2nd generation of big navi so performance should be even better, plus AMD would have improved its RT performance a fair bit as it will likely be more "mainstream" then with next gen consoles all supporting it.
