Wait, is it only reference cards we're getting on the 18th? The above article says Sapphire's custom Pulse and Nitro+ models will release later in the month and have a later review embargo date too.

Yes, custom cards are allowed a week later.
Cpu is only there to tell the GPU what to do. & workout AI, which that game doesnt really have.. Play GTA V and watch the CPU do loadsIt runs without stressing the CPU at all

Meh if I miss out my PS5 will keep me busy until stock gets reasonable. I'm not gonna throw my toys out of the pram for this (especially as I still have a working GPU)
It would be good if the delay is only one, two weeks, it will be annoying if the supply is so constrained, so that there will be no stock for months to come, or to have limited availability in one or two retailers like today Ryzen 5000 series.
So a repeat of the RTX 3080 disaster. NVIDIA doesn't have to come out with a 3080 Ti after all, if AMD's cards also turn out to be their vaporware equivalent on launch.
