Exactly - sadly she was made redundant so she deserves some love and something to take the mind off Her mental health and wellbeing is more important to me than big navi.

Well it's rumoured that it's sapphire who's after designing the reference models together with amd. If it's true I can't see a reason to skip the reference cards. I'm sure the actual pulse and nitro+ will be even better but don't think you would see any flaws in referent design
as i am liquid cooled what i want this time around is a much higher power limit without bios modding the card manually.
reference looks superb for air users, even without the reviews, it’s probably AMDs best ever air reference cooler.
Not even released already obsolete....
But anyone looking bang for buck it's the 6800XT or 3080 surely?
I'd rather not pay double and loose 10-15% performance and upgrade every generation.
Only exception was getting a 1080Ti instead of a 1080 because the 2080 turned out to be so bad.
If I don't get a 6800xt I'm considering a 1080ti
Will save lot of cash
My gpu is 4 years old. And It only cost couple of hundred. Crazy. These new cards are going to have to last me as long as the new consoles to be worth the price
Yeah I'm beginning to believe this. It could be 2H 2021 before we have enough supply for these things to sit on shelves.Stock won't be any better in the New year mate
Of course, if Nvidia does have a ray-tracing advantage, it could come in part from its DLSS technology, which allows games to run at lower and less demanding resolutions, but be scaled up to mimic the visual fidelity of higher resolutions. Bergman confirmed that AMD’s answer to DLSS, known as FidelityFX Super Resolution, is coming. But it seems we may have to wait some time.
“We are committed to getting that feature implemented, and we're working with ISVs at this point. I’ll just say AMD’s approach on these types of technologies is to make sure we have broad platform support, and not require proprietary solutions [to be supported by] the ISVs. And that's the approach that we're taking. So as we go through next year, you'll get a lot more details on it,” Bergman says.
More details ‘through’ next year doesn’t sound like it will be available terribly soon. Exactly how important that will prove in the broader battle with Nvidia, well, we’ll have to wait and see.
yep most of the Valhalla performance data out is pre driver - Nvidia was a little late with Valhalla in releasing their driver
I don’t think this was tested on the new Valhalla NVIDIA drivers released yesterday. In any case, something is wrong with this game. The 2080 is only 7 FPS slower than the Ti while 3090 is just 4 FPS faster than 3080

Geekbench
RTX 3070 (100%)
RTX 3080 (130%)
RX 6800 (96-99%) on Intel
RX 6800 XT (109-114%) on Intel
RX 6800 XT (127%) on Zen 3

Thats opencl so more compute performance rather than gaming FYI
I think the 6080XT or the 3080 could be the same.
How the observation has flipped since the Vega days!
These wont be long lived products,
The GA102 was a strategic error which will be generously recalibrated in early 2022
That's my view.
