Loving the look of the 6900XT but how realistic are those prices once the gouging retailers get them. Wonder if the smart memory thingamabob will work with the TR CPU's. Should do.
 
I do think the 6800XT should be £549-599 to really bring the hurt to Nvidia. I suspect it will soon cost that much if available direct from AMD as the 3080FE is a thing of beauty regardless of RAM limitations.
 
Good to see some strong competition from AMD but the lack of DLSS or equivalent is a turn off for me. Will be interesting to see if Nvidia reduces their prices in light of this impressive AMD lineup.

Where does this leave your preorder now mate? I'm thinking in a few weeks I might end up cancelling to be fair and see if Nvidia release something with more vram.

It's a shame I have a Gysnc only monitor.
 
Awesome! As long as drivers are perfectly stable, I'll be replacing my Radeon VII with a RX6900. Very glad I cancelled my Asus Strix 3090 OC pre-order a few weeks ago ;)
 
I'll be sticking with my 3080 queue after that. Possibly equivalent performance, no RT details and it's the same price. No incentive for me to move over sadly.

Sadly this is true too. God knows. I can't see 6900XT going 999. I'm sure the retailers are already adjusting prices in their heads based on our posts lol.

Yup, it was speculated the nvidia launch was a panic launch as they had only been in production a few weeks, now we know why. Shart out a few cards to try and get a head start.

A lot have been forking out c£1k on the 3080 based on the genuine non-spammed ebay/marketplace sales.

It will be intersting to see the more specific benchmarks on both AMD and Intel CPUs.
