Its actually 1400£ where does the 1500 come from?
6900xt will be 1000

400£ difference.

As i said, try buying one, the nvidia store has been out of stock since a second after the supposed "launch" and the only info on availability is for third party cards so they're the ones people are going for which obviously cost more.

Looks good to have competition again.

This has been quite a frustration this year.
Between the 3090 and 6900, I'd still go 3090. Only because if I'm paying 100's more for 10-15 percent raster, I may as well go whole hog and get the better Ray tracing too.
At the raster fps, it seems that 6900x matches the 3090 when overclocked. The rumoured 20% better Ray tracing on the 3090, then makes it a little more attractive (although a few hundred more).

What will really get me though, is if nvidia cut the 3090 price, as I haven't even used mine yet due to waterblock manufacturers not having enough time to be ready. That would be hard to take :D

RX 6800 XT looks great but the other two look pointless due to pricing.
Which means most of the demand will be for that card which is not going to help availability.
But hey, one excellent card is better than none.

ANybody know anything about whether 6900xt crossfire works? Or did AMD kill that off ages ago? I havent had an AMD card in years

If you need a hug let me know.

Nvidia killer's unleashed buy Nov 18

You mean a paper launch with cards with more VRAM?

I'm not exactly sure what you are expecting here. Some sort of magic where they can make their cards go even faster, even though they are clocked balls already?

Right now they will be planning damage limitation, and probably courting TSMC *HARD*. That won't happen any time soon though.

6800XT looks like a no brainer at 1440P.
Interesting that the 3080 does comparatively better at 4K though despite less DRAM. Perhaps shows the limitations of the narrower bus / infinity cache?

Add to that the boost from having a 5000 series CPU and it looks like a really solid offering. Especially incentivises those wondering whether to go 3700X or 5600X!

Very impressive stuff from AMD, can't wait to see some real-world benchmarks. I won't be cancelling my 3080 pre-order, but I'm glad I ordered it from an extremely large retailer that makes it incredibly easy to return things, or claim money back if price-reductions happen!
