That's some serious gouging even for OcuK's lofty standards.
I've served my time and am now ready to be integrated back into society.Matt seen you were in the slammer! Did you miss my tag on the drivers thread?![]()
Well just managed to snag a 5950x for £745. Fingers crossed they ship as it was in stock are some time. Just a 6800xt/6900xt next! That's some serious gouging even for OcuK's lofty standards.
I think i know the place, they have some 5800x in stock too.Well just managed to snag a 5950x for £745. Fingers crossed they ship as it was in stock are some time. Just a 6800xt/6900xt next!
Haha, 'just'.Just a 6800xt/6900xt next!
Cheers. You running 1.5V on your ram to achieve those timings? Be interesting to see if the incoming bios coding lets the Fclock hit 2000MHz on the ryzen 9's.I think i know the place, they have some 5800x in stock too.
Grats on the 5950x, it really is a beast of a CPU.
Yes, 1.496v. I am going to try and lower it, as i think i can a bit. Maybe 1.45-1.475v.Cheers. You running 1.5V on your ram to achieve those timings? Be interesting to see if the incoming bios coding lets the Fclock hit 2000MHz on the ryzen 9's.

Cheers for that Matt, I ran 1866 on my 3700x so can't see 1900 been too much of an issue. I've got a few days of tweaking to do, its back to square one for me. I've changed Motherboard too as the MSI MPG X570 GAMING EDGE WIFI was been sold locally very cheap so sold my x470 taichi.Yes, 1.496v. I am going to try and lower it, as i think i can a bit. Current timings here
Aida 64 latency is around 54ns.
In my testing there is no difference between 1800Mhz and 1900Mhz FCLK in games, CPU frequency is more important. It helps in memory benchmarks like Aida64 and MaxMem, but other than that i wouldn't worry if you can't achieve higher than 1800mhz.
I can't post any higher than 1900Mhz.

16% VAT in Germany currently too! Down from 19%.You think thats bad? You should see what ocuk's owners are looking for 3090's and 6800's.

The sooner a law is put into place against **** like this the better, retailers love these stock situations as they just slap any price they want on a product and flat out know some people will pay it. And the pc industry seems to be a goldmine for these practices as year in year out regular as clockwork anything new that's launched has bugger all stock. That's always has me baffled how amd nvidia and intel can constantly be launching stuff that always happens to have low availability.
I hope this is applied to retailers as well in some form to keep things in check. There was something being voted on the other day for this I believe. I was reading an article on it which specifically stated for consoles and PC components.
Edit: Found it

I imagine if that does go through the retailers will be none too happy, but they've had it good for years with pc components and ratcheting prices on a whim. Every launch, every single ******* launch always some "situation" that necessitates the price to go up, think just about everyone that is a pc gamer or enthusiast is fed up with the situation, so here's hoping it gets passed.
