I agree. I mean, why get a GPU to work out your graphics for you, just get a pen and paper and calculate and draw each frame manually.

To be fair thats what AMD gpu's have been doing comparative for the last 5 years ;-)

Fanboiz it's some tongue in cheek banterz before you get into a tizz.

Bit surprised looking at 5700 XT on AMD site that there's an Asrock up for pre order, I thought surely the 6700 XT would be a direct replacement. Didn't even realise Asrock were an AIB.

Well, it made me laugh.

On the subject of the launch, I'm really hoping they give Nvidia a bloody nose this time round. Beating them in rasterization performance and at 1440p would be a great start, and if they can do it at a slightly lower price they'll be onto a winner. I personally game at 4K with a Gsync monitor, so I'm tied to Nvidia by GSync and DLSS because 4K is still so demanding, but I really want some competition for Nvidia at the high end. Volume sales is where the profitability is and with economies of scale that AMD should enjoy from building all the console GPUs, I hope this gets them right back in the fight.

Here's to hoping it's competitive, or just straight up better price/performance.
I'd like to upgrade my 3570k/rx480 rig at some point this year!

I stand by my prediction that we will get roughly 3080 speeds in rasterisation.

If a 3080 was seen as excellent at the almost mythical MSRP of $650 and AMD delivery similar performance for that or less, then it would be a success. Though I suspect many people (Nvidia fans mostly) would proclaim it a fail if it doesn't beat a 3080 at a reduced price. Such is the way with idiots who hold AMD to much higher standards than they do Nvidia.
