There should be loads of stock of rdna 2, it's same process as they're using already but more mature. Obviously q4 is high demand period though.

By mid q1 next year I wouldn't be surprised to see an attritional battle for market share by AMD against Nvidia and prices could come down a fair bit from both teams.

See thats what I thought, but why is techradar spouting this nonsens about it equating to £500 when we all know it wont work out like that?

Do people forget that these prices are without VAT ? The $650 to £ is £500, but you need to add 20% VAT .. In USA they have state tax too in most states, the $650 USA price is without tax (VAT). The UK price should then be £600-ish. Times I wonder how old people are on here and don't realise VAT or TAX that needs to be added on too.

Im only going off the broad statistic of 80% mindshare and the fact some AMD folk have already pre-ordered because they were out for a month already. If 80% have bought or waiting for nvidia that leaves enough to go around for the 20% assuming stock is moving to warehouses right now.

Im also hoping a few buyers would have pre-ordered consoles as they didnt know what to do and this has eat up the budget on run to xmas. My stats will be off as this isnt catering for the same demographics cancelling the pre-orders and mashing F5 on the AMD release. :O

I doubt AMD would be stupid enough to compare their gpu's with the competition with SAM enabled. They would be called out immediately when reviews hit.
From what I can see they have clearly indicated which benchmarks had the SAM feature enabled so I reckon it was a fair comparison. They probably have the ability to disable SAM in the motherboard bios.
Looking at the 6900xt benchmark tables it looks like they have rage mode and SAM enabled.

Doesn't make it right I don't remember the supermarket increasing the price of toilet paper when it was so popular not that long ago.

Supermarkets place public image very highly. It's a very competitive business and margins are small on essentials. They don't want to be known as "always jacking prices" when someone thinks of them. They need the regular business and it's too easy for someone to take their regular business elsewhere.

so you think 10GB is the perfect number for RTX 3080 and that we will never need more in the next coming couple of years with new titles for the new gen of games?
hence AMD have wasted resources packing 16GB into their cards?

He/she will say anything to spin for NV. NV went for the gimped VRAM and it has bit them in the a**e. That's all there is to it.
