The time has come

I wouldn't call the gains of an LSD small for anyone that actually appreciates a good drive.

It is an 11 year old Civic, but why does age matter? Are you that material that you'd prefer to have a car that other people think is cool than one you'd have more fun driving? Not that an EP3 for this money is going to be much newer? 3 years?

I really doubt you could tell if a car has an LSD on a normal road, if you can it's likely you're driving like an idiot.

The bit about age is more to the point of how the EP3 will be a much nicer place to be.

Me - material? I drive a Fiat

I never stated the offer had been accepted. I've stated within this thread I had made an offer, had lengthy discussions with the vendor, and that he was waiting until a viewing yesterday to get back to me. He's since put it on eBay for a day, but with a couple of hours left it still has no bids.

He will accept my offer as soon as eBay fails. :)

What have you driven that is FWD and has an LSD? Because unless you're sat on A-Roads/Motorways it is going to be obvious if a car has a functioning LSD.

I do not require a nicer place to be, if you had read my requirements, I want something focussed, not a comfy car to pootle around in.

The way you said "I'm paying much less than that" and mentioned an offer you were implying that you had one accepted. But as usual you'll go around saying you didn't actually mean that. I wonder what the guy selling the car would think if he read this thread?

I've found a 335i. Most 335i M Sports are £20k, but I am paying much less than that. I wasn't going to buy until next year but I didnt realise I was able to make an offer for loads under the advertised priced.

Will let you know if the seller entertains my offer.

Well, I'd either be paying much less than that or I just wouldn't have the car? It isn't rocket science, but as usual the "crew" have found another bone to chew.

It's just amusing to see how this thread has progressed from one list of cars to you being absolutely certain that the best possible car for you ever is infact a different car, all in the space of a few days, based on offering a guy loads less than his asking price for one :p

To be fair... you might as well of given them an entire skeleton to sink their teeth into you leave everyone with so much room for attacks. :p

Mike, seriously there is no "crew", 99% of replies to your threads or posts are negative, doesn't that tell you something? People love to have a go at Fox justified or not but why never in your threads?

The whole world isn't against you, you're just a bit ridiculous mate.

My offer is a tiny amount lower than what you'd be able to pick it up for via that eBay ad. It is hardly "loads less".

I'm ridiculous for not knowing what car I want, then I'm ridiculous for knowing what car I want. Now I'm ridiculous for having made an offer on the car I want?

No Mike, did you type that actually believing that is what I meant? Come on. This is your problem, you've just highlighted it well.

Might help if next time you give us all the facts, not half of them. Guessing the other half leads to assumptions and then arguments that aren't needed at all.

One day you'll realise that we're not all out to twist what you say, just you leave yourself wide open and make it so easy. Think a little more before posting, don't state things as fact when you're not sure of them, don't make huge assumptions (at least not without stating them) and certainly don't second guess the actions of someone else when you're hoping to buy their car! You certainly gave the impression (whether you intended to or not) that you were on the verge of completing a sale. Arguing with a load of fan boys in response to an advert about the price of a car is certainly far from completing a sale in my book...

When that happens within the space of a couple days and is a car you hadn't even previously considered then yes, I think a lot of people would call that a bit ridiculous :p

You see, the perfect example is people chewing on the fact that I've chosen a car that wasn't on my original list, despite the fact it is massively similar to the DC2, which is.

If someone had suggested the EK9 here based on my interest in the DC2, then that whole argument would be irrelevant, so why is it any different if it has been suggested elsewhere?

But that isn't what has happened? I have spoked to the vendor privately.

All I ever stated on here was that I made an offer.
