Imagine you had a camera that could transport you to anywhere in the world and more importantly, to any time in history.

There are a few restrictions to this special camera. You can only travel back in time and cannot be seen, you can only observe and not interfere thus removing paradoxes and butterfly effects. When using the camera you feel no pain, heat or cold or sensation of touch, but can smell, hear and see perfectly well. You can record up to 60 minutes of footage and take it back to your original point in time to share with the world or keep to yourself.

Where and when would you go?

Would you find out who really killed JFK? See if a UFO really crashed at Roswell? Witness the resurrection of Christ? See yourself being born or if you're in to that sort of thing, yourself being created?:D. How about taking a ride in Apollo 11 and join Neil and Buzz in a moonwalk? What about seeing the extinction of the dinosaurs?

Get travelling OCUK :)

See who killed Tupac :D

Jk not sure I'd want to witness a death, but people would want to know and info about other events like 9/11 ;)

What's done is done though, but it's a great idea.

Wow this is great, I would go back 13,000 years ago before the younger dryas to Gobeklitepe and capture 60 minutes of as much as I can, I would run as fast as I could trying to cram as much in that camera as I could.

I'd go back to before the ice age in 10,000 BC to see if Atlantis really existed. Maybe also visit Egypt to see who really built the pyramids. I'd also love to see the Roman army in action. Actually, for me the list would be endless - Sumerians, dinasours, Dogon, ancient south America, Medieval England, the great plague, etc.

And after all the stuff with Richard III over the last few years, I would like to witness the Battle of Bosworth, and the Somme. Thing is though, you may end up a bit mentally affected as these things aren't exactly pleasant to watch.

So this was a discussion at the pub, as all the best discussion are.

One idea was to use it to bring back the death penalty, borne from the story of those teenage girls who murdered that woman. Bear with me... all crime could be solved with such a device (Minority Report kind of but that was pre-crime), so removing the element of "beyond all reasonable doubt" if guilty or not, thus sentenced.
