I'll get around to proper benching tomorrow, but took delivery of my Gigabyte windforce today. Quick runthrough on unigine heaven gives me a score of just over 3000 (with an old 3750 @ 4.2Ghz)

Is there anything anyone would like me to run through?

Looks like these have gone down like a dog egg sandwich. Is TROH really empty?

I tried to find a way to justify one of these from my 1070 but the performance gains were miles off.

Managed to snag a ex-display MSI RTX 2070 Gaming Z for £418 delivered.

Actually wanted a RTX 2080ti but I just couldn't justify the price tag (are you hearing me Nvidia... I'm not paying that much!!!).

Anyway I'm very happy with the 1440p gaming performance of this particular 2070.
The boost range stays pretty constant between 1980 and 2025 with a small manual OC on top of the huge factory OC.
Unfortunately the power limits are preventing this card from even higher clocks, not the temps which don't exceed 70c.
This GFX card sits between a 1080 and 1080ti performance wise which makes it a good value buy.

LOL :D

Nearly everyone I know either games at 1080p or 1440p @ 144hz+.

Prices need to come down and the monitor and graphics card technology needs to advance another generation or two before 4k goes mainstream.
Saying that I may jump on the 3440x1440 bandwagon soon, but ultrawide is not as taxing as 4k to stay in excess of 60fps.
