Good looking card, but i wish they would make better use of the fact that these are 1 slot or there abouts, by reducing the size of the bracket to match.

Not a huge issue, just a nitpick.

if your waiting for RT and DLSS in games it will take one - two year or more

I think thats a very positive outlook.

For now it will be in games where nvidia provide a incentive (cash to dev's).

For dev's to add it off their own back, they will probably wait to see for enough cards to get sold, before even considering it, then they may add it t new games at start of development, so if we assume 1-3 year dev cycle, then I think we looking at 4-5 years as a starting point, I watched a youtuber who said the same thing but cannot remember which one it was.

The problem with DLSS is its not a part of the open standard its propriety to nvidia, so it wont just be adopted easily by developers for that reason as the nature of it means its affecting only a niche part of the market.

MFAA initially needed to be implemented by dev's and had bad support, it became good when nvidia managed to make it work on almost every MSAA game, and since MSAA is part of open standard it supported a lot of games, but MFAA loses its usefulness in many new games since MSAA has gone out of fashion, CSAA had a short life, so DLSS is a gamble, its by no means it will become widely adopted with a long shelf life.

Special request! Could one of you lovely 2080 owners let me know what are the minimum frame rates you get when playing Far Cry 5 at 4K on 'high' settings - not 'Ultra', with no anti aliasing. I really wish to know if you get 60fps+ consistently. No review sites have looked at this game in other than Ultra quality settings in 4K.

If you can let me know you will also be helping OCUK make a sale on one of these!

So very relieved my brand new MSI RTX 2080 Gaming X Trio survived Storm Diana.

Card overclocks nicely. Sitting comfortably at between 2040 and 2055 core (max 2085) and 7125 memory, 100% stable in every benchmark (screenshot is Unigine Heaven maxed). Max temp under full load after several hours is 66C.

Zotac providing some real quality GPUs.
