I'm all about seeing what's inside mine:

Still tempted if these come in on the 27th and there's stock of the Duke over at the main competitor's.

Superb case and if I had one like that, I guess I would admire it more. Might be a pain wiping white stuff off of it though :D :D

Really stunned (and I am as bad as the next person for shiny shiny).. But these cards so under deliver and are so overpriced... Why anyone would buy one.. Must have more money than sense...

For a few reasons really:

1. I have a 4K monitor and want everything I throw at it for the next few years to be at 60+ FPS.
2. I've been away from PC gaming for a decade and decided to set aside a few grand in order to build an absolutely top of the range machine for my return.
3. I'm a professional freelance software developer who works primarily from home, and this machine will be used daily.
4. I can afford it.

You might consider it crazy, but I don't.

Literally all of my reasons apart from replacing 3 with freelance editor wanting to work from home...

It's bliss mate, setting up a Ltd. company and going freelance was the best thing I ever did. I'm not sure how common or practical it would be in your industry, but in most tech related fields things seem to be moving that way.

My plan is to do the majority of my work in my studio but also take the video files home to do work over the evening and weekends!

Yep

I'm buying one through work and can claim the VAT back, making it about £900.
