I work with three monitors at work and it helps vastly when having many applications open.

I've just acquired a 22" monitor to go on the right hand side of my 27" monitor at home. It makes things so much easier, example web developing and you need to keep seeing a preview of the page you can just plonk it on the other screen.

I'm probably a bit late to the party but I highly recommend it.

I currently have 2 23" screens either side of my laptop (17" Alienware) these screens are quite old now so I was considering buying a 27" or 2 x 24" screens. The reason I am still deliberating is I think I will be better off with the 2 24" screens for running separate full screen applications as you say.

Decisions decisions!

Yup last 10 years or so I've never had less than 2 monitors on my desk - would feel really restricted going back to 1.

I've got a 2 monitor set up at work and it's perfect for the sort of work we do, without it we'd easily only get half as much done.
I used to have an external monitor hooked up to my laptop when I was in uni as it is invaluable when needing to reference things while writing but now I don't need to do anything overly productive at home I'm just back to my laptop.

I use 3 Monitors both at work and at home. Home setup is a 23" 1080p NEC + 2 Old Dell 17" 1280x1024 that I got for £20 each.

Ideal when I VNC into work as all of the computers have either 3 or 4 Screens, but have also had rFactor running on it :)

Recently went triple using an old power hungry plasma we were going to get throw away. I struggle going back to 2 screens now, not that I can really or need to focus on more than 2.

I usually put something nice and distracting on the 3rd like iplayer, to make sure I get no work done, so in effect my 3rd screen negates the other 2....

I started off, years ago, with a 21" crt and 14" tft.
Now i have 2x 23" TFT monitors.

I could never go back to a single monitor setup.

Been using 2+ monitors for over a decade. Currently have 3 23" 1080p screens at home, and a 84" projector screen plugged up to the same PC in case I find the 23"s to small.
