I don't know if there's a real answer to this, Maybe it's just down to chance.

But why is the UKs wildlife so tame compared to the rest of the world? Both in the Sea and on land.

Is there an explanation?

Just to expand, Im referring to the lack of the dangerous(Bears, Big Cats, etc) And Poisonous(Spiders, Snakes, Scorpions)

We used to have wolves and bears in the UK but as the others have, we've killed them all off. Shame really as I'd love to hear a wolf howling at night and bear baiting sounds like fun.

You do get quite a few sharks off the coast of Cornwall and some venemous adders on the Welsh coast. Red deer can probably pack quite a punch too.

We have a few poisonouse spider if thats any help, only one that can really do any harm (no one in the UK has ever died from a spider bite), apart from that yeah, our wildlife is pretty tame.

Personaly I'm glad, I don't really like the idea of having things that can kill me wandering around outside.

Unless you count ******.

Tame? Don't you mean non dangerous? Tame would imply we could go and stroke them. In fact our wildlife is probably less tame than most other places, unless you're talking squirrels, blackbirds and robins that seem to love our food. :p
