If you're going to make sweeping statements like that then I'll be wanting statistics and I think you'll find nearly every poll has come out with the 3.0 on top.

MX1000 user here, used to have an MX510... and as soon as i upgraded, the MX510 got taken to work...
how am i expected to designed with a ball mouse anyway :D
 
Had an Mx1000 got rid and got the G7, felt like I was forever changing the battery and it always seemed to be when I was in the middle of kicking someones a*se in CSS :D and the single thumb buttom set-up was a mare so I roasted it and went back to the Mx1000 ......!!

And the rest is history!!!

What do you mean it's back - it was never out, was it? I buy them like once year, they are always in stock. Or is MS reinventing the wheel over and over again by changing top covers and unlocking software settings.

Just wondering, as in my opinion I think no mouse could be better than the 3.0 simply because I've used a few and this stands out by a mile.

well for a lefty none of the above mice are good enough for me! i opted for a Razor Coperhead and im chuffed to peices. 200dpi uber quick lots of buttons. plus funky blue flashing LED stripes down the sides.

I'm wondering, does anyone have any tracking issues with the MX518?

I have the MX700 (wireless version of the MX518 I think) and it can't track four different mousepads I've thrown at it, either it keeps moving on its own, wobbles or just makes random jolts. I'm forced to use no mousepad at all and use the wooden desktop surface which it tracks perfectly but isn't exactly the smoothest surface.

I also have two different Intellimice and they both track perfectly! :mad:

tried updating drivers for it? checked the Logitech website to see if theres a fix for it?
 
You guys dont know what you are talking about. The Razor Copperhead is THE definitive mouse, and stick it next to a G15 its sexy as hell.
 
I used to love this mouse until one day it packed up and was in desperate straights for a new mouse. Stumbled across the logitech MX 518 and never looked back. :)
