Mark Wahlberg and Halle Berry star in THE UNION. Only on Netflix August 16.

Mike (Mark Wahlberg), a construction worker from Jersey, is quickly thrust into the world of super spies and secret agents when his high school sweetheart, Roxanne (Halle Berry), suddenly comes back into his life and recruits him on a high-stakes U.S. intelligence mission.

Another generic film on Netflix that will flop.

Marky Mark, Halle Berry and JK Simmons didn't come cheap. But, I like Mark Wahlberg and watched his last awful streaming film (on Apple TV+) so will inevitably watch this.

Another generic looking 5/10 scoring Netflix film. JK Simmons must have a big tax bill somewhere but its good to see Berry reusing her John Wick skills I suppose, whilst its obviously just another paycheck for Wahlberg. I'd probably watch it once, and after a day or so I would never, ever think about it, the characters or any scenes ever again, being that its just more Bland Product to Consume so, instead, I'll just give it a miss I think.

Polished it off the watchlist, definitely a Netflix film with not much substance, the amount of green scene / fake traffic video in the background throughout this was jarring at times and looked so bad.

After seeing Halle Berry in John Wick had high hopes for her in this but just goes to show what having actual stunt performers on your team can do.

With how Netflix like to cancel stuff I'd be surprised if this got a second film but they've baited one at the end just in case.
