I was just on the net looking how to do mathamatical "to the power of" calulations when for some reason i came across this site.

yeah space is pretty big alright, bigger than an elephant anyway and atoms are probably smaller than peas. the last image seems to represent protons and deutrons made up of a mass of quarks when theory says that there are only 3 quarks in each...

Maybe these are gluons :confused:

Or it's doing a Quantum Mechanics on you, and the whole screen is just 1 quark, but due to QM you can't be sure where that is.

That'e because the images are very old. They are taken from an old science video. I've seen it many times. I guess it was before quarks were widely known to exist. At that point in the video it says something like "this reaches the limit of our current knowledge".

Or at least I think that's what it's from. Maybe not all the images are from that.
