A certain retailer is now showing these as 'In Stock' - and my order has been duly placed.

I've been looking forward to this game for.. urm.. well.. an entire decade ever since I lost a month or more in Fallout 2. So sad and all-encompassing is my obsession that I've reinstalled Fallout 2 in preparation.

Having also just spent an hour downloading previews and trailers over 3G, I'm now close to bursting point with excitement.

Surely somebody else is this hung up on the franchise?

at first i wasn't to bothered about fallout 3 even though i think oblivion is one of the best games ever made, the way that this game is set in a waste land didn't really appeal to me much but I've now jumped on the hype train and mine is being picked and packed atm lol

Argh should've preordered - mine won't be processed till tomorrow :(

I did enjoy Oblivion - but enjoyed Fallout 2 a lot, lot more. Here's hoping that they haven't ruined the gameplay/environment/uniqueness in F3 and it's even better - and if the videos are to be believed they certainly haven't :D

Just can't wait to see what the Brotherhood are kitted out with this time round... [/sad]
 
Can't wait to play this, Fallout 1 and 2 are up there amongst my all time favourite games.
 
Yeah I loved Fallout 1 & 2.

I am really hoping that Fallout 3 is good, awesome setting even if it is oblivion with guns that suits me fine.

I just want to see some reviews, I have a feeling this is not going to be the classic it should have. :confused:

I hope the PS3 version is good, although I have a decent windows box, I love a big sofa and a controller.
 
I would like to know what owners of previous versions think of the new one... I will definitely get this but probably not till the end of the year when I will have plenty of time to devote to it ;)
 
Got this coming for my PC, gives me something to do while the GF is playing LBP or on the Wii. I liked oblivion a lot and hope fully this will be as good if not better.

Fallout 1/2 started the genre as post apocalyptic topdown view game..it was awesome has a massive following..

Fallout 3 on the other hand is going the 3rd person/1st person.. whilst keeping all the lore etc.

Its a very interesting series :)
