I'm looking to build myself a new PC in the next month or so and I'm totally out of the graphics card side of things, last I had was a Fury X and a 980Ti before that.

I want to SLI them in a custom loop it SLI/crossfire has caught up yet? but I don't know what to go for or where to start!

Max of about £800 on the cards, or a better single card? I see 980Ti's are dirt cheap second hand at the moment.

Going to be with either a 5820k/5930k or whatever the broad well E version is to that.

Mainly gaming but apparently my uni course has a lot of CAD this year so will a certain vendor benefit in rendering etc?

Thanks guys :)

if your doing cad you'll want an industrial card like a firepro/quadro.

but for rendering at least it should be cpu bound so the 5930k will help with that.

tbh unless you're trying to do a 4k video of a full plane assembly you'll probably be fine with what you have, i managed to render a whole ton of 16k images for one of my projects using an i5 laptop whilst my main rigs psu was down.
