Some interesting points. I never had any of the stuff from 6. I can also smoke a cig if I choose to without problems.

I simply don't like smoking any more and go back to vaping when I can. Like about 2 years into vaping I was going to Pasha and was worried they might search me (I ain't a big clubber so didn't know what to expect) and take my vaping stuff off me. I took a cheap ego setup and some cigs. Vaped until the battery was dead and then smoked the rest of the night. Right back to vaping as soon as I was back in my hotel. Smoked a few nights out when I was drunk too.

If you are just starting out and find you want cigs over vaping I'd say you need to change something about your vape. Might be you need more nicotine, more power (vapour) or a different type of draw / throat hit.

I'm not always the best at giving advice on this as I'm one of the few long term vapers (almost 4 years now) that still has a strong urge for nicotine. Most other vapers seem to be able to go much longer without it than I can and use fairly weak juice. I use 24mg as my low juice, still vape first thing in the morning like I smoked.

Anyway I totally agree you will need to drink lots!

Thanks Lt.
Slimy sweat and mouth ulcers eh? Oh well...

Just about to pull the trigger on a KF lite+ and a Vamo because I like leds and buttons and also because I'm a pussy :)

*Snip*

Mech mods have no protection, if you have a short, the battery may vent or even spout flames lol.
These are used more by more expierenced vapers usually, or at lease vapers that are comfortable building coils.
You can get AW IMR 18650 batteries that have a safer chemistry that will only vent, but these are more expensive.

If you have a VV/VW device like a Vamo, then if you put your kayfun or atomiser on it and there is a short, it will tell you, these have a short circuit protection built in.
This imo may be a better journey for you, first, then when you get more expierenced recoiling, then get a mech mod.

Can't argue with any of that! Its pretty much exactly what I have.

I use my Vamo every day still, just because its great at home with the big battery and is handy to use to check battery levels and resistance. Bit to big for the outside world though! (In 18650 mode that is)

EDIT: Just looking at the KFL+ clone, I've got both the original one and the new + version (real ones) - How good is that clone? It looks like a perfect copy, an tempted to grab one for that price!

E2: Sold out. :(

Was just about to pull the trigger on them too...!

Received my Ithaka clone and Russian 91 clone last week. Been using the Itaka with two 1.8ohm coils. Very impressed so far. Pull is quite hard but a pleasant vape. Using cotton wick instead of acrylic.

Not tried building the Russian again. It's leaking from the refill hole on the bottom so need to look into that first.

Can anyone recommend a good starter kit?

The Mrs is currently using those disposable cigarettes you get which aint great but looking to move on to a proper vape, hopefully to give up altogether eventually.
If it can be attached to a lanyard or something would be beneficial too, as she tends to lose stuff.

I would go to pound land and get one of the menthol kits for her to try.
If she likes it then pick a kit and go to fasttech to buy it.

Who here uses a kick? They worth it?

I'm looking into a kick 2 as well.

Nope, i have a few mech mods and dont bother tbh.

If i have a 0.8oHm dual coil in my dripper with a new battery, i get 22w of power, a kick cant match that.

I know that it gets weaker, but i normally change my batteries about 3.8v anyways.

Fair enough, I'm debating one, as it annoys me when they start to drop off as the volts drop...

I dont do sub ohm, at least not yet. Not really appealing to me yet. What exactly is the attraction? :)

In other news I got my Hana Modz DNA30 clone today from CF. Love it! :D

Missed the delivery on Tuesday so had to wait til today to get it redelivered, was worth it though. Got a VTC5 due tomorrow for it, Probs overkill, but I only have a couple of 18650's anyway.

Am still tempted by a dripper, looking at either an Origen v2 clone for about £17 or the UD W7 for about £22. Looking at them due to having a nice deep well for more juice. Opinions? Other options?

Rebuilt my Ithaka, the dual coils weren't providing enough air flow. First tried dual microcoils, but they were burning like crazy. Now running on 1.5 ohm coil with 5 wraps and cotton wick. Vaping beautifully :D

I've got two Tridents and love them. One has a 1.4 ohm coil in it for use on my vamo, the other has a quad coil setup at about .2 ohms. Both are performing really well :)

My Vamo V5 and Aspire Nautilus have just arrived :D Fantastic bit of kit.

From left to right.

1) First one I got 6 weeks ago for the massive sum of £5 to see how I get on with them.
2) Then moved onto the white one I seen at the market (£20) This is now broken lol
3) This one I have when going out, it is not to big so no problems carrying it around / wacking it out :p
4) My new toy (Vamo V5 + Aspire Nautilus) Really nice vape on this.
