Just pulled the trigger on more shiny stuff. MutationX v2 incoming. And looking for UK stock for the Sigelei 100W plus.

I have both of these. Mutation really chucks out weather fronts!.

Got my Sigelei 100w plus in Champagne Gold (comes with black silicon cover - best of both worlds!) from Grayhaze.

Their price carries a £88 premium with Delivery and when checking earlier today had stock but seems they have sold out this afternoon /evening im afraid.

Thats the non Plus model Pete ;)

Myepack were meant to have them last Tuesday but the consignment has been held up which is a shame as its £18 cheaper than what I ended up paying.

What changes does the plus model have? I know it has some cosmetic changes like no screw holes on battery cover and machined edges and the wavy line pattern, is there anything else? Does it have spring loaded 510 also?

I think you will always get variance on mods as it depends on the accuracy of the chipset and the resistance of the internal wiring of the mod.

With a 1.24 ohm coil I would expect any mod would fluctuate between 1.2 - 1.3 as they are not dead accurate.

I thought the DNA round to the nearest point? for example, this KF4 is 1.56, my rDNA30 says 1.6. :)

Either way, those FT Ohm meters are great. Very accurate!

Ta guys, just confused me a little seeing as ive never had a 2 decimal point ohm meter, so never been able to see the little differences in ohms - still odd how my DNA30 rounds up though from 1.24 would have thought it would say 1.2 instead of 1.3.

The ohm meters are great, they make a nice platform to build on too which is a bonus. :)

Not much, a different colour (champagne gold), a swirly design lol, floating pin (great) and 4 magnets with no holes for screws.

I will skip that then, I don't need any more devices so that's a good thing really! :D

Hi, so many choices I'm easily confused.

I'm a heavy smoker, I go through 2 lighters a day.

I looked at the sigelei 150w in the above post which seems discrete and less phallic.
I'm just not sure what else I need to get?

I could really use some guidance people, want to stop smoking.

Its useful for me Pete as I have a couple clones with no adjustable 510s and I am forever changing between tanks and drippers.

However I couldn't honestly say it is worth the extra £10 more with epack or indeed £28 more that I paid over the standard 100w.

Chris, I reckon that floating pin is worth an extra tenner for less hassle in the long run tbh.
Btw, been a bit busy but I'll have that tank posted tomorrow :)

That reverse threaded 510 pin caught a lot of people out when the Sigelei first released didn't it.

Apparently, yeah.
I looked at a couple of reviews first, so I didn't get caught out :D

If you wanna go balls deep straight away and have something that'll cope with anything you want to throw on it, then yeah, the Sigelei 100W is sweet. Might be worth waiting for the plus model to become more easily available for the above reason though.

It's hard to say. You might be better suited to starting with something like an MVP2 for general use.
You may want to use an atomiser with rebuildable coils vs one that uses cartridge replacements.

Are you a hands on kind of person who doesn't mind a bit of fiddling or do you prefer to have something that you can just fill up and get on with it?

Liking the Bill Hicks quote btw ;)

The high wattage devices are a bit of a gimmick to be honest, 150, 180 and now 260 watts is just overkill beyond belief so don't get to hung up on wattage, although the higher watt devices house more batteries which it good for endurance but also adds bulk.

I would recommend the IPV2 or IPV2s, nice size, decent power, affordable and durable with USB charging.

You also need a decent battery, the Sony VTC4/5 are awesome but are becoming very rare now unfortunately.

As for the atomizer, would you want a tank or a dripper, or a device which you buy replacement coil heads for instead of making your own?

True, no idea why we need 100W or more. I guess it's a nice to have it and not need it kind of thing.

Absolutely, it is nice to have a bit of a buffer but these new 260w mods are taking it to far in my honest opinion. I think the DNA40 is going in a good direction with the temperature control feature, but requiring super low resistance nickel wire is a bit of a pain if you want to use the same atty on multiple devices.

Hmmm...

I am hands on type of guy generally.
I followed some guides so although fiddly its not rocket science. Im just wondering if the cost v time messing about with rebuilds would be worth the hassle?

As you've probably seen, it only takes a minute to build a coil and another couple to install it. Like you say, it isn't rocket science.
I definitely prefer this route to having to keep buying replacements.

As for the mod part, perhaps someone could recommend a few options as I haven't really been keeping up.
Power wise, it depends on whether you want something capable of powering a dripper at sub Ohm level at some point if you really get into it, or whether you think you'll be fine with a standard atomiser for the foreseable future.

Do you have a rough budget?

No problem at all Pete!.

I think the DNA40 is definitely the way forward and will probably be my next purchase but hopefully it won't be anytime soon.

Baron, If you are like my wife who vapes Menthol exclusively then rebuildables may not be necessary.

If you end up like me who loves trying different flavours, tinkering with different atomisers like RBAs, Drippers and even a Genesis tank, then rebuilding offers the flexibility to do all of the above quickly and at a very, very small outlay. Pennies!

I started with a MVP 2.0 but I quickly found this didn't offer me enough Oomph but it definitely should be purchased over the likes of the little 650Mhw/1100Mhw batteries.

I don't think you could go too wrong setting a budget of your total weekly tobacco cost as a starter but going through 2 lighters per day! sounds like a small fortune!.

My budget is open wallet .
Want it simple tbh :)
