Hey guys, I've never gotten on with my Vivi Nova, iclear 30 or Kanger Protank 2, I never seem to be able to get the big clouds and nice taste from the old school iClear 16. But I tend to get about a week out of them before I need to change the wicks (this is after doing a few cleans and dry burns). Can anyone recommend anything better for my MVP? Doesn't have to be a clearo.

If your willing to coil it yourself, a Kayfun Lite+ is the way to go.
Right, after two tanks using Rayon/Cellucotton, heres my thoughts......
I prefer Koh Gen Do or organic balls. Why? Rayon 'feels' too artificial and un natural, and both tanks and juices I tried it in the flavour dropped off after about half a tank, yet the wick was still clean and not gunked up. Speaking of which, after finishing and cleaning out the KF's the coils were really covered in crap! (think layer of gunk) Way more that normal. Though I dont know if that is a direct result of the Rayon or not.
Still going though the little pad of KGD that I got from Mr's Lords, So much nicer to work with, and sure its better flavour imo.
So for me its KGD, Organic cotton and then Rayon.

I have started making my own, using Chefs Vapour concentrates, which I find 10x better than capella concenrates.
Before that was a mix and match. myshishapen, chefsvapour, scopes, a local shop I have in Gidea Park (if anyone is nearby?).
I was happiest with Chefs Vapour that's why I make my own using their concentrates. Although I have moved on to Pink Spot concentrates from their website.
The local shop flavours are pretty sweet but can't remember the brand.
Can any of you guys suggest a step up upgrade from the ego twist and a Protank 2? Been using this combination for ages now and I feel it's time to move on.
I still can't quite get my head around the sheer amount of stuff or exactly what it's purposes are considering how much something like a Provari goes for (£200+). What are the big advantages that has for example, over an ego setup?
Also still struggling to understand the definition of mechanical mod. Surely a mod is a user made change to an original product?
I don't mind spending a bit on some new stuff, but would rather go for bang for buck over spending loads on something covered in emblems or fancy art designs. Also I don't know if I really fancy building my own coils, but may consider it if the advantages are good enough. I'm ideally after something with the simplicity of an ego.

That should get you started.
Mech mods have no electronics, so just dump the batteries voltage on the coil. Means you get a variable hit depending on how drained the battery is, but give no limitations on coil resistance and stuff. VV/VW devices like the MVP allow you to control the power on the coil. Handy when you are starting down this road, and aren't hugely familiar with ohm law, battery safety and coil building.
The MVP is VV/VW so has some in-built safety for you, you can adjust the power or voltage to suit your tastes, and has an inbuilt battery so you don't need to buy one and a charger. So keeps the costs down. When you decide to upgrade, you can purchase the batteries and charger for the new device.

Thanks, staying off the smokes has been really easy, i borrowed a friends ego and ce4 for the weekend and that made my mind up, i had my last rollie at about 06:30 when i got to work on the monday, then went and brought my own ego kit after work and haven't touched a smoke since, nor have i wanted to.
