That should get you started.
Mech mods have no electronics, so just dump the batteries voltage on the coil. Means you get a variable hit depending on how drained the battery is, but give no limitations on coil resistance and stuff,
Except battery amp limits!!!. VV/VW devices like the MVP allow you to control the power on the coil. Handy when you are starting down this road, and aren't hugely familiar with ohm law, battery safety and coil building.
The MVP is VV/VW so has some in-built safety for you, you can adjust the power or voltage to suit your tastes, and has an inbuilt battery so you don't need to buy one and a charger. So keeps the costs down. When you decide to upgrade, you can purchase the batteries and charger for the new device.
