It has again gone wrong and until we get our newer car need to fix it, library dont hold any car books in stock and dont want to spend £10+ in halfords for it so;

Does anyone know how or a site that shows/details how to replace a Camshaft Senser on a Vectra B (97 1.8)?

The part only cost £30inc. vat but now I'm lost!

took from another forum

The camshaft sensor is located at the side of the timing cover.
You will see the wires going to it at the left hand middle side of the rocker cover.

Remove the air assembly.Remove the 3 bolts that hold the alu bracket onto the timing cover.Look down at the cover and remove the 3 bolts that secure the cover to the engine.go underneath now and remove the bottom one.
This will allow you to pull the cover away from the engine/belts etc.

The sensor sits between the 2 camshaft pulleys.
U will need "Female Torx" to remove the sensor.If u dont have these,then use 4mm or 4.5 mm socket.
Undo the bolt and pull up,Refitting is the reversal
