At the moment its this game and Rome Total War II are the games I am most looking forward too this year (so far).

From what I gather thou this game wont be exactly what I would like but its closer then what we have had so far.

It sounds like a mix between dead rising, the story version of the walking dead game, and as someone mentioned in an interview the old oregon trail game.

Also suggested this will not be an open world but quests and a path to get to your goal; and you search for items to help you with this: gas, food, more people to help you etc ...

There are no videos of the game besides what I have found here; and people are generally concerned we will be getting a subpar graphics game. I tend to feel we may also; but I dont care ... its zombies and clubbing them with your nearest blunt weapon - sounds Great to me!

I've heard about a herd mode if you preorder from certain places; suggested gamestop and game.co.uk but when I checked game.co.uk website there was no mention of a herd mode (probably some type of survival gameplay to see how long you could last).

I know I really enjoyed dead rising when I owned an xbox - and am hoping this game is similar to that but on a pc.

Due out march 19th - changed from the end of march.

Looks like something that comes out my butt, this game is obviously just a cash in on the name.

Looks disappointing. To not make the game open world is a massive mistake. So much potential throw away right there. Plus the combat looks like just like Dead Island, with some stealth kills thrown in.

Unless it gets amazing reviews I'll probably stear clear of this.

Pretty much taking my opinion of how that walking dead game looks straight from a youtube users comment....looks like it should be played on a tablet or smartphone. Pretty bland looking, not the best advert for a game by any means either as the gameplay video lacks any atmosphere whatsoever.

Plenty of open world games out there already. Walking dead did quite well, so hopefully this will be a decent story driven experience with lots of well scripted events unlike the stagnant likes of skyrim. Loved skyrim but it does get a bit boring after you complete the main quest.

Imagine a huge open world sandbox in a gigantic city... imagine it being a Walking Dead title with proper melee and firearm mechanics, with the series being referenced and easter egg'd at every turn.

That'd sell.

But it's Activision so they'll just crap all over it for a quick buck, yay.

TBH unless they they pull a rabbit out of their asses this is going to bomb big time. The people who sold the rights to the game should make sure they flogged it to someone who could deliver.

I agree Id much much rather play a game like this - the original dead rising game was somewhat like this ... still a plot but big enough that you felt it was open.

to be honest Im quite surprised the story version of the walking dead did so well; I took one look at that and thought - geez looks 1980ish. But it got on a or some best game of 2012 awards???

probablem is you would think a game company would make a game that lots of people would like but they just are not doing it.

I'm still looking forward to this game thou

I agree, I love zombie games, I really enjoyed completing Zombie U recently, but this one looks like it's going to fall short. It barely seems like it's the Walking Dead world to me, based on what I have seen so far.

the walking dead story game is utterly fantastic and certainly deserves many awards. I absolutely hate games like that, but loved that one, took me an episode or 2 to get into it though. They did the graphics that way because that is the same art style as the comics iirc, imo it was very well done and suited the game, don't think it would have been as good if they had tried the "realistic" art style approach.

This just looks like L4D but with slower zombies. Hated the dead rising games and wasn't fussed on dead island.

Keep your eye on Class 4. ;)

It'll likely be crap and if the chump being interviewed is anything to go by then it'll be ultra crap, he comes across as lacking any creative passion and just seems generally phony to me, he can't even laugh without it sounding false.

Came in here expecting Season 2 of the other game, leave disappointed :(

Also, the hair looks extremely plasticy on those zombies, I've seen more realistic hair on action figures.

First official trailer showing some gameplay (very little).

Ill be honest - still doesnt look that great ... but Im still anxious to play it; want to take on the hordes of zombies.
