**I don't know the specific rules about discussing... specific rules, so if any mods want to delete this then that's fine.**

Would people prefer if we had two threads for each specific game, with one for players organising games and one for actually talking about the game itself? It just gets difficult having to sift through gargantuan threads populated mostly by 'I'm on' and other interpersonal-type posts irrelevant to finding out what a game's actually like.

I realise that oftentimes posts contain information about both topics I've mentioned, but surely it can't be prohibitively hard for players to resist the urge and keep it in seperate threads.

Feel free to discuss.

Examples could be good to illustrate your point. Currently its as useful as me pointing out the grass is green...

@Kreeeee - Ive RTMed a GT5 thread thats accidentally got merged after my poor instruction - do you mind just helping it along?

Good example is the GT5 thread. I can't find a MP arranging thread anywhere. The game discussion and game arranging is all in one! :D

Fair enough: *** Official Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Thread ***

I can't find any alternate game-arranging thread through the search function, and a rudimentary browsing of that thread suggests it is fairly cluttered with game-arranging and banter between players.

Sure.

Matchmaking threads are useless and die a quick death as ocuk isn't that great a community (consoles) for online gaming. People move on very quickly to the next game. Also you get tonnes of interest and people adding or wanting to add your gamertag and they never play.

Just leave it in the main game thread.

Thanks mate - Ive kinda used any communication possible so Im sure it will get looked at at its own time - sorry for the hassle - feel like an idiot :o

I think matchmaking threads for the short span of time are useful - they let people know who is interested to play with fellow ocukers while the game is still shiny - thats all Id expect them to do really. I just dont think of them as permanent threads and eventually by their very nature theyll just die once the next new game comes along - its just a quick reference (which easily could be the first post of the main thread if organised)...

I dont think as a general gaming community that OcUK deals with this in any different way to other forums out there (Id be interested to know why you dont think its a great community for online gaming though?)...
