The weakest link?

In my system, as detailed in my signature, what is the weakest link?

I am looking to swap my 5870XF for a 6990 on release, but aside from that, what is the weakest element in my PC?

I am tempted to say the CPU, however the motherboard is fairly old and doesn't support SATA3 or USB3.

Any tips?

I've only ever used the OC utilities present on motherboards - the Asus RE II which I have has the 3.2GHz as the max overclock in it's presets.

Is there an idiot's guide to securing a stable 3.6-3.8GHz overclock... like as simple as 'put value 2.1x in here'. ?

Wow.

I just ran CoreTemp, CPUID and Prime95 with my current setup...

After 4mins all 4 cores were 83'C and rising roughly 1'C per 30secs. Turned it off then. Hmm.

I have a thesis to finish today, then i'm going to sort my computer out (got a few cans of compressed air etc). Will clean the radiator if it's dusty, and all the fans.

I'm quite tempted to get the H70, although that mean that I may need to remove the huge 14cm fan from my case (Cosmos S) side panel.

Will post back post-maintenance and decide where to go from there!

Infact, ran prime95 and the monitoring software...
