Seems everything on the Wii front has died down now. You can pick them up from numerous sources for the standard price of £170. Perfect time to buy one now.

Thank god, just in time for xmas.

Got a used one with 2 extra games and a bigger memory card for £210inc special delivery, well chuffed. I know the missus will be :D

I was in town yesterday and EVERY computer games shop had them in stock as well as a few supermarkets.

I won't be a bighead and post a link to where I said there wouldn't be an issue for Christmas :D

Don't tell her 'cos it's for xmas yeah?

Doesn't she browse these forums? :p

We're moving back to our respective home towns today for Christmas, she won't be browsing here before we give our presents in a couple of hours time :D

Big Pre Christmas push from Nintendo. Seriously why is anyone surprised? Nintendo said themselves they are going to sell something like 21-22 million Wiis by the end of this financal year and they are currently sitting around the 16-17 million sold mark, its not like they are going to sell all those during Jan-April

Aye I bought two to sell in the middle of November. At that point they were fetching £300 easily. I decided to wait until closer to xmas as I thought there'd be more of a struggle to get one. As the days went by I began noticing prices dropping, so I got rid as soon as I could, still made a nice profit but it was a lesson learnt. Won't hang about as much next time :)

I've read that Nintendo have also expressed disapproval of only shipping the wii's when the stock level was low as part of money-rinsing bundles.

Also have threatened to take action on retailers doing so.

More than likely a hollow threat, especially as its not in their interests to stem this sort of behaviour, but its nice to see that they publically disapprove of the practice, even if it is merely PR bumflufferies.
