Been watching it all again and back up to the 5th series, cant stop saying youngun' or shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. doubt that 2nd word will come up but i bet you can tell what it is!

I really don't know if I prefer The Shield or The Wire. Both surpass The Sopranos for me though, which I also loved to bits.

HBO has too many amazing shows, Oz, Band of Brothers, the above (minus The Shield), True Blood, Boardwalk Empire, Curb Your Enthusiasm, there's more too...

We have some fantastic actors, producers and directors in this country, why don't we have the budgets to have a comparable schedule :mad:

The wire was one of the best shows on TV!!

So many good characters. I always liked "joe" the way he runs the drugs supply, but yet still sits in his shop fixing clocks etc.

I have watched The Wire, The Shield and The Sopranos, all 3 are fantastic tv in different ways, loved them all, although my absolute favourite series is Dexter, unbeatable imo.

Never seen the wire, tried watching the first ep and it was so boring. I guess most series' are like that though, takes a few eps till it gets interesting.

Might give it a try again after I finished 3 more seasons of Two and a Half Men

After watching the wire, im on Series 5 of The Shield, and its almost as good as the Wire.
