Ok ive had this game a while but never bothered with it, just seen it on steam and went to buy it then found out i had it haha.

Anyways the game looks good and i can max it except ubersampling, but i see black grainy stuff on peoples faces and skin, the ground and walls even?

Ive read turning aa off helps but it hasnt.

Also the game stutters unless i run it with radeon pro enabled? People say AMD drivers are spot on now but they really are NOT. The game runs much better on my mates 660 compare to my 7970 unless i use radeon pro :\

So does anyone know how to fix these black checker shadow things? And is that new CF stutter free driver gonna help single cards with stutter in games too?

The stuttering is defo the 7970, im only on 13.2 atm so maybe update them.

Its not just the witcher though, it happens on torchlight 2 too, its as if the games missing a frame every so often.

Anyways the main issues is the pixelised shadow thing http://en.thewitcher.com/forum/index.php?/topic/23310-grainy-shadows/

I will update to 13.4 however and see how they are.

EDIT

Heres a screenshot of the shadows im on about http://img694.imageshack.us/img694/4587/gridshadows.jpg

That's just what the shadows look like in this game.

Yeah i did some research last night, it seems its just the engine that does this :\

Still stuttering without radeon pro is still there!

I can see how some people cant see it as its still very playable but when compared to radeon pros smoothness its really bad still.

Great game but so slow, i mean why cant i use mutagens from the start? :\ You need to be like level 15 before u can use them properly but you get them at level 6? :\

Yeah its pretty bad of the game, i expected more with the item system its a real hassle most of the game, lets hope 3 is much better thought out!
