The Witcher EE crashes a lot

Is there anyway to fix the constant crashing every so often ?

Ive disabled the steam overlay and changed the exe to xp compatibility but it still crashes quite a lot

Is it possible it could be a hardware problem? Does it happen in other games?

I had crashing problems as well with The Witcher, but a simple sound card driver update sorted it.

I saw someone mention somethhing I noticed aswell that the map will sometimes go black before crashing I guess they could be a memory leak?

Nope, not a memory leak. The game runs flawlessly for me.

Not for me. The enhanced edition actually ran worse that the original one. It was painful to play.
