It's a ground-up remake in a completely different engine. Of course we'll be paying!
Rumours of the Ray tracing full upgrade of the Witcher 3 being available 9th December, based on some kid in a games shop finding that date on his expected announcements list.
Having said that CD Red did promise Q4 and 9th December is pretty close to the end of that, so it might just be true.
For people like myself who bought the game early and didn't get hearts of stone and blood and wine this will be a nice upgrade to the full game, along with 100 other little additions apparantly.

I hope it has a few new things, RT reflections for the large bodies of water, Metal and polished marble-like surfaces, RTGI which makes such a big difference to the feel of a game, Maybe DLSS and a proper HDR implementation.
