The Witcher help needed please...

Right, i've just installed The Witcher, registered the game and downloaded the Enhanced Edition patch. But when I go to install it I get this message...

"The language pack corresponding to the language version of the game already on your system was not found. Download the relevant language pack"

Where do I get the language pack? I did download TWEE_English_language_pack but it says the enhanced edition needs to be installed first...at a bit of a loss here

My bro said you need to reinstall it or something. I dont have it anymore though.

Was just doing that at the moment, thought i'd get a re-install done before someone suggested it, he he

Seems stupid to have to do that but apparently thats what you need to do. Its worth it though.

You need to put both the language pack and the uprade in the same folder then start the upgrade.exe it should work then.

even though my downloads go into the same place I still needed to put them in empty folder for it to work.

hope that helps.

Remember not to end the process even if one of the task's seems to have the (not responding) as it still should be working. if you do end it you will have to re-install the game from scratch again.

I did have this game last year but it wouldn't run at full specs with my 8800gt and amd2 dual core...this was a game I really wanted to wait until I had a system to play it in all it's graphical glory. I think my X3 Phenom @ 3.4Ghz and 4870 1GB should obliterate this now

Spent the last 15 minutes uninstalling then re-installing...didn't make a difference.

Just completed...about to update my catalyst drivers, haven't done that in about 5 months...then off we go.

All setup and running, played 10 minutes of it, as I thought, settings all maxed out in full graphical glory. Play style is a little different to what i'm used to but sure it will click into place. Now just need a week off work

So unpolluted that the Witcher on the consoles got cancelled due to lack of funds lol. Luckily they are still working on the sequel for PC =D

I found it really bad the first few hours of the game. But got better a few level ups in.

Yep it is an awesome game. I haven't finished it yet. I stopped playing ages ago. I really ought to go back and finish it off as I really enjoyed it when I last played it.

It can be tricky early on; most people get to "The Beast" and tear their hair out. That bit is overly hard, IMO, but the rest of the ride makes the effort well worth it

I just wish it had a bit more variation, for re-play purposes. Still, after five or six runs, I've had my money's worth.
