The Witcher Upgrade

I was going to buy The Witcher, I just wondered what the process was to upgrade it to the enhanced edition and whether it's worth spending an extra £5 to have enhanced out of the box.

if you can get the enhanced version of the witcher then i'd definatly reccomomend it, it comes with lots of nice little extras including new voice acting in a lot of the game, since the original was abit patchy in parts, and it comes with extra add on adventures too, and i think some software to create an play through your own storylines etc

That's not what I asked, afaik you can upgrade to the enhanced edition for free if you have the original version. You can get the original for about £5 cheaper and I was wondering it it's worth saving £5 but having to download the enhanced updates.

ohhh then yeah if you dont feel the need to get the nice box an extra artwork etc, prob best to save the £5 an download the content

The enhanced edition patches are free, so just buy the cheaper version and download.

As far as im aware you download and install the 1.4 patch and then the new 1.5

There are also other downloads such as .mp3, art work etc.

Also would depend if you can wait for the big download before playing, a fiver aint that much.

It's a doddle to update.

Some people have had problems with it, though. If the extra fiver isn't a problem, get the shiny.
