The Witcher vs Dragon Age

Have to say I don't understand the 'completely game breaking' controls comment for The Witcher. I used the over the shoulder view the whole way through and it felt really natural.

Whilst I found The Witcher to be a fantastic game, I found it to get repetative after hours upon hours of pretty much the same quests. Sure, it has a decent storyline, great atmosphere, ton's of sidequests and fun minigames, but each mission seemed to be exactly the same - with the odd, seeminlgy inconsequential decision to make now and then.

I may pick it back up and complete it at some point, as after a rest I expect I'll find it fun again, but maybe I just suck at RPGs :p

Nooo! The fact that your decisions made such a difference was one of the things that made the witcher so interesting! Admittedly you ended up at pretty much the same end game, but it did change things along the way.

*trying not to spoil anything here, but read on at your peril*

Allowing the witch to live or joining in the burning, siding with the elves or the knights for the swamp battle, taking the child to the sorceress or the healer, allowing the elves to take the supplies beside the river (result of this one caught me by surprise), letting the werewolf live or killing him, and so on.

They were often not the kind of thing you could save just beforehand either, as the consequences often didn't come back to bite you until hours later.
