The Witcher

I never completed oblivion either. I tried so hard to get mods to change it ive got so many mods its totaly differnt and without them id never play it. But its still to easy in a way. The leveling up of creats with your character means you can complete it at any level which ruins the game. Youi should need to be a certain level to be able to survive in certain areas, the mods changes this but still feels like something is missing.

Every cave is the same etc, just to boring.

The witcher better huh? might get it.

The Witcher is more story driven than Oblivion, but with still enough freedom to not feel totally linear. It's the best rpg I've played in ages. The graphics have the best art direction you could wish for in an rpg of this type. The storyline is endowed with tons of plot twists and REAL chioces & consequences....not pretend ones like in most other rpgs.

Oblivion OTOH is really a sandbox dressup game. Harsh I know, but I can't think of any other way to describe it. Even with mods (which helped it a lot) it still bored me eventually. It just doesn't have that edge the Witcher has.

In short - The Witcher = RPG of the year (for me it's even GOTY)...easily.
Anyone who appreciates deep rpgs really have to get this game :)

I'm sorry but the dialogue is still an absolute shocker :P As are the loading times!

The game is good, but could have been brilliant.

Another witcher fan here, haven't enjoyed a game so much since Fahrenheit / Dreamfall :)

Trying Bioshock but keep getting bored, completed cod4 and currently playing Timeshift which i think are also very very good, but The Witcher has to be my fav game this year !

Like everyone else said, i could find myself loading it up and not coming off it again for hours.
