Hey Guys

Got this yesterday and tried to update it (straight from the game) and it said i couldn't install it as i had the wrong language pack.

I then downloaded the English language pack and then it told me i had to have it patched up to date first :rolleyes:

Anyone know where i can get the latest 1.4 patch hassle free that will install with no problems?

I'd also like to ask

I played it for like 2/3 mins and noticed you use the mouse to move by clicking on the ground, has anyone changed this to WASD? As that's how I'd like to play it

Alright mate,

for patching games I use this program, it finds all the latest patches and updates for all your games. As for your other question can't help with that I'm afraid.

Try downloading this and running a scan of your games.

I had the same problem - all you have to do is make sure that english language pack is in the same folder as the update file and then it run. You also need to register your game to install the Enhanced Edition pack. All instructions are on the game website apart from the 'being in the same folder' issue.

I just recently re-installed this, it was such a pain to get it patched! i think i had to download 1.5GB of updates. As said above you have to register to get the Enhanced Edition pack which is like 900MB, then you download the English Language pack which is about 500MB then i had to download the Hotfix which was like 100-200MB yet still it doesnt play the intro movie properly

but i watched it a year ago when i first got the game. The updates were worth it though, unpatched this game will make you suicidal towards the half way point, load times were a few minutes!

It comes with WASD control, you can also remap them to other keys if you want.

I loaded up The Witcher yesterday after not playing it for a long time.

Id previously got about half way through then heard they were enhancing it so I stopped and left it.

Started again and I spent 7hrs on it yesterday :eek:

Brilliant game for anyone that hasnt played it. Graphics are nice too.
