Hey all,

Sold an unlocked 1.1.3 on eBay to some French bidder (despite saying I wouldn't post outside the UK)

Anyway, the iPhone got delivered today, all was well.. NOT!

They emailed me today to say that the iPhone didn't work, it kept rejecting the SIM.

I suggested trying varying methods to get this phone to accept their SIM, however, they keep replying with "Didn't work"

Eventually, I had to ask "Did you update in iTunes?"

"Yes, why?"

Now, despite me leaving the 02 SIM out of the box and with a note saying NOT TO UPDATE they've gone and updated and I'm left to explain how to unlock the iPhone to a n00b.

Not a great day, and I know 100% it worked unlocked as I tested it, so I'm betting they'll say I scammed them

FOOL!

Well I just wrote an idiot's guide to unlocking the phone and I even followed it myself with my spare iPhone, so I know it works.

I've told them all they need to know, which is annoying because I knew it'd come back to bite me when they won the auction.

They just seemed the buyer to cause 'aggro.

Tampin.

What on earth did you Google, "french armpit"? LOL

I've actually told her straight now anyway..

At the time of sale 1.1.3 firmware was the latest, and was delivered in working order. It was her choice to update it (because iTunes told her to  ) and now it's broke.

I've told her that out of courtesy I'll send her the details when a 1.1.4 unlock is official, but I will not be refunding her.

If she leaves feedback of the negative flavour then I'll hop on the eurostar and kick her in the ovaries.

It's sorted now, she's left me positive feedback :)

I'll just link her to ZiPhone when the 1.1.4 unlock surfaces.
