It has to be Grand Theft Auto Episodes From Liberty City.

I like Grand Theft Auto games from playing them on the PlayStation but I wanted to play it on a PC. I saw Episodes From Liberty City game in CEX for 3.00 and bought it to play except its totally unplayable and you have to waste many hours to find that out.

It was a while ago when I got this game and lost the receipt not to worry only 3 pounds wasted.

The frustrations begin...

First of all it takes hours for the game to install 2 and a half hours. I've wasted my time with this game enough now. After waiting for the game to install I find it isn't playable it wants you to activate it online "Its an old game" I have the serial key and get around that but then the game will not play because of errors and its taken 20 GB of my hard drive space and I can't uninstall the game no options to uninstall it and it doesn't show in add/remove programs so now I have to do a new Windows install to get my hard drive space back.

Thank you Rock Star games for wasting many hours of my life.

I tried this game on other computers as well. Its just not playable and you have to wait 2 to 3 hours to find that out. Please people if you want to keep your sanity do not touch this game.

The best thing I've done with this game ... no more torture

Should be able to find the install folder and delete it, remove the registry entries (which might be a little harder) and any shortcuts it has added, without having to reinstall.

It may also have placed folders in My Documents, Window's Saved Games and/or the user appdata folders.

Ooof, MS ditched games for windows live a while back so I'm not surprised the old disc version does not work (more suprised at the sales of 2nd hand PC games tbh!)

GTA 4 + Episodes from Liberty City (complete edition) is currently £5.06 on steam and is updated to remove GFWL so should work on modern machines okay. Mine does at least though it does need a bit of command line tweaking to get proper resolution support on modern cards :)

install rockstar launcher and enter the game key and you dont need disks to install, i have the dvd version and entering the key worked.

You can't play cause it needs online? But you're posting on an online forum? Oxymoron?

Old gfwl games have their install files hidden, just googled how to delete it

It is the activation service which is offline - so you can't activate over the internet. I no longer buy games from publishers/studios which abandon/sunset games in this fashion even if it means missing out on good games.

I think there have been plenty of awful games out there, budget games etc (of course there have been the odd gems also FTL for example).

Basically when talking about awful or the worst game youve played, you should try to keep it if not within AAA games, at least games made by well known established developers that are sold for "full price" or near.

In which case probably RAGE for me. Hyped up to the max, the game in my opinion was terrible, wasn't cheap either.
