What's it like? I've seen very mixed reviews, so I'd like opinions from users who actually know what they're doing for a change. :)

I've looked at the WUSB600N, the WMP600N and the AE1000. The AE1000 has very limited availability in the UK at the moment though. Basically I'm very happy with my E3000 and I'd quite like matching Linksys adapters, but I want to know how they perform and I want said information from people like myself.

If that is what you seek, don't bother posting on a forum like this :)

I've used none of the listed adapters, but I could safely say without looking that the PCI adapter will probably perform better than the USB one because this is pretty much always the case. Plus the PCI option you can fit aftermarket antennae to which is always useful.

Yeah, I did look at that one quite a bit. Just not sure how much of a difference in signal I'll see, as with the PCI card it'd be three inches off the ground in a corner whereas with the USB it's at least be on my desk. :) Either way probably won't be an issue signal wise as I've got an okay signal strength with my DWL-G132 at the moment and 11n is supposed to be better. The PCI card would probably be better in terms of actual throughput and reliability though.

Well that's why I mentioned the antennae. The card sits in your PC on the floor, but the antennae can be on your desk the same as the USB ones.
Something like a TP-Link TL-ANT2405 or the 5GHz equivalent if you're using 5GHz band.

Edit: A quick google has found this which looks quite cool: Link

It is simply a desk mount and extension cables to move all your existing antennae...which is cheaper than 2 or 3 individual external antennae.
