The X-Files is reopened!

Here we go. No doubt we'll have the usual suspects forcing themselves to sit through every episode just so they can come here and post how crap it was.

Apparently the second episode is much better than the premiers according to online reviews... will try and watch it this week to check it out.

All due respect guys, I believe this hasn't aired in the UK yet, can you all go off to the US sub-forum and discuss before someone carelessly ruins this for the rest of us.

Terrible writing, terrible acting, rushed, awful filming, felt like a bad episode of CSI Wherever, which considering the shows are all terrible tv to begin with. Absolutely every single part of it was completely awful, nothing slightly redeeming about it.

Destroying a franchise in one episode... wow, first Lucas, now everyone who was involved in this abomination.

Absolute rubbish. Ignore.

Has anyone who's bought the X-Files on Blu-ray got the blackness issue with season 8 that is being reported? Not sure whether I should buy the set now or wait for March when the fix is manufactured onto a new release of the set? Apparently there's an email address to use to ask for an exchange of the discs for season 8 for owners of the current release.

Just started watching on demand 5... When that theme tune kicked in.... Damn I've removed years off my age and got goosebumps too!

Spent the entire episode letching over Scully/

DD appears to have lost a few years too, saw him in a film called the Joneses, looked well older.

The all important bit, it's still the same o'le same:)

Time to get my blu-ray box set watched :)
Think i missed the last 4 or 5 seasons:(

I had mixed feelings about ep1, it was nice but not the same and the mythology was twisted and became ridiculous. Hope it gets better. Their chemistry is still there though.

I enjoyed it, was like a journey down memory lane, reminding me of a time 2 decades ago. Some of the media have slated it, saw a review today which gave it 1 star out of 5. Personally I think they are being overly harsh and are perhaps remembering the original series with rather rose-tinted glasses.

I sat, I watched, I thrilled at the title sequence and the memories it brought. I drooled at Scully (though to be fair I drool at Gillian Anderson pretty much in any role :) ) , I warmly embraced Mulder , welcoming his return to the TV as I would many different characters from my past. I cheered at the sight of a (seemingly un-aged) Skinner. The long, rapid, monotone speech of Mulder reminded me of so many from 2 decades ago.

All in all, it felt good to see the x-files again and I enjoyed the show and the nostalgia of the 90s that it brought back.
