Hi Guys

Back when I first started at OcUK, there was only one option for people looking for an ultra high quality case. The Zalman Z-Machine was built like a tank featuring thick aluminium panels that screamed quality.

The LQ1000 was the highest level at the time featuring an in built watercooling system similar in specification to the ever popular Zalman Reserators.

Skipping forward almost five years and the Z-Machine is back with the same proven integrated Liquid cooling solution but updated to feature modern high performance blocks exclusive to OcUK.

This is an all in one cooling solution fitted into a timeless chassis.

Was such a big fan of this case back in the day and i have to say i still am! Even after 5 years it still looks stunning.

The watercooling is still pretty much as good as it ever was

it has low and high speed options

a haswell CPU under load runs at around the same sort of temperatures as a high performance LCS solution.

this would arguably be quieter though due to the much larger rad fan.

That picture indicates a complete loss of control, Roady.

Meanwhile, back at the case: the walls are seriously 1/5" thick?

That's why I need a case with a control knob! :P

Yeah 5mm think... Sounds like you need a sack truck/fork lift to move the thing!

Is this a new Zalman release or just a revive of old stock/old range? It only has USB2...?

Also, does anyone know of a good beginners guide to watercooling setup and maintenance?

check the sticky threads in the watercooling section :)

this is an older case design yes, but the watercooling hardware is new to be compatible with the newer sockets.

it is usb2 sadly,

Love almost everything about this case, apart from the two gash Z Machine logos smooshed all over the side and front.

Other than that, it rocks.

every time i see one of those metal dust filters it reminds me of old pentium 4 pc's that seem to have been produced in their billions
