It's basically a normal Big typhoon but with a more powerful fan and a controller :confused:

Retention for Socket 775

Surely this is a BIG plus as the original Big Typhoon needed and additional support bracket to be attached the motherboard back surface?

I stuck a "bigger" fan on my BT and it made no real difference to load temps, maybe a degree at most.

what do u mean the Big typhoon needs an additional bracket?!

I have just purchased one to go with my conroe system!

where can i get one quick, and why is it needed?!

It otherwise uses seperate pillars, so you would need to remove the retention bracket from the MB to fit it.

Typical I hear about this one day after my Big Typhoon comes.

So... how does this compare to a Scythe Ninja for Conroe X6800?

Scythe Ninja is typically a few degrees cooler as far as I'm aware.

It doesnt matter what CPU it is really Ive got both the Big typhoon and the Scythe Ninja and the ninja is about 3C less than the big typhoon
