Has anyone got one of these ?
Can they be mounted backwards with the fan at the rear, turned around and pulling air across the drives?

probably want to replace the blue led fan with a papst, is this possible?

I have those in my Armour. I don't see why you could'nt but why do you want to? It would make the cabling for the hdd's awkward plus you would'nt be gaining anything such as increased cooling. I don't actually have my hdd's in mine. They sit in a pair of Vantec Vortex hard drive coolers. The cages are just somewhere to mount the fans.

Would depend on the case. The drive sticks out from cage once installed by more than the width of the fan plus then got cables to go in. So if space is tight at front of cage it would cause probs. Would have to take it out to be sure of its reversable though.....bit of hassle. if nobody else comes up with an answer i suppose i could.

Fair point on the cables, it would be a problem, not thought it through enough.

I just didn't want the fan poking out of the front of my case ( lian li v2000). Can it be set back from the front behind the cd bezels (the v2000 has perforated sides so air intake should be fine)

The coolermaster 4-in-3 looks possibly a better bet and has better use of space. And it is in stock at OCuk.

I really like the look of the lian-li ex-34 A but no one has it and it's pricey. This would look fine without the bezels as would a Scythe Kama Bay I think. If any one has one of these I would be interested in comments on how closely the colour matches the lian-li alu.

Does anyone know of others with a 120mm fan?

As I said, I will probably change the fan as I want it for an air intake as well as hdd cooling.

Not finished yet, but this is why I can't use the v2000 bays
