Ok I love this game, the original that is. I have the orig retail etc, and now I still love it playing it on dosbox, but I have a problem with mouse freezes. Doesnt matter which mouse but soemtimes when changing screen, mostly from end of year screens, or going to or from research, the mouse freezes completely. Does anyone know of, or remember this problem, and is there a way to fix it?

I know its an ancient game, but its damn fun and I would play it all the time if it wasnt for that problem.

I got my very first PC to play this, as it had more features than my amiga version.

The PC was an uber powerful 486/DX66 with a whopping 8Mb RAM, 420Mb HDD, and a blazing 4x CDROM, ISA Soundblaster and a 1MB GFX card.

Wish i could find the CD, im sure its at my dads somewhere.

i had this on 8 floppies..... the sales man at a pcshop told my parents it didnt come on cd....... dam spotty geek didnt have a clue... i played simcity2000 more though.

I had this on my PS1 but I could never seem to get enough cas to sell up and buy a new park in a more populated area :(

Maybe I was just rubbish at it.

i never really played it properly, i just enjoyed making these coasters with a MAAAAHOOOSIVE drop and an open end ramp to try and make the cars all fly off as far as i could

Try ramping up the CPU cycles of DOSBox a bit more.
Other than that though, it does seem to be a problem mentioned in the games database; I'd personally grab the latest CVS version & see if that fixes anything.

he doesnt need to use dosbox anymore, the patch i put up for him will let him run the game under XP/2000. ;)

ummm, forgive me for misreading but isnt the patch you put up for rollercoaster tycoon?

I think he got the wrong end of the stick after I facetiously posted suggesting you buy RCT as a "patch" for Theme Park.

There's a patch. You can buy it on ebay. It's called Rollercoaster Tycoon.

i loved theme park 1, putting extra salt on chips so people got thirsty, but putting loads of ice in, so they buy double the ammount of drinks, priceless :D

Hey that was quite a PC for back then, 420Mb HDD would have been massive for the time!

My first PC was 386SX 12Mhz to play Civilisation on :)
